Level 1 students have been busy propagating plants from cutting this term. To date their efforts look very successful.
Level 2 have been practising their fencing in preparation for their Agri Learn Advanced fencing course next term.
Mrs FS has been part of the team writing the level 2 Milk Production resources for all schools and was also invited to participate in the ERO equivalent review of the Trade Academy National Body by the MOE (GHS is one of just 3 schools nationally who regularly work on national publications)
Both classes are helping to run the Practical day and Awards ceremony for the FMG Young Farmer of the Year Grand Final in Timaru this week. Our students will be working hard in a wide variety of jobs from contest module judges, health & safety, test scorers, and contest assistants. This will be an awesome experience as students gain valuable experience in the organisation and running of a National event.
Friday is the Practical day with events free to see from 7:30am- 1:30pm at Caroline Bay. We then move to the Theatre Royal for the awards ceremony.
