Over recent months our school has been working to develop procedures and steps in case of emergency management particularly early closure of the school.
The procedures implemented will allow us to respond safely and quickly to a range of circumstances.
In case of emergency, such as snow, flooding, extreme winds or other emergency events that may require the school to close early, safety of our students and staff is of primary concern.
As a school we wish to be prepared as much in advance as we can for a situation where it is necessary for us to close the school early, for example due to weather. This will allow for students to be able to leave the school quickly and safely, and for parents and staff to feel confident that they know where the students will be.
Safety and care of all our students is paramount.
Parental cooperation at both the Geraldine Primary and Geraldine High School sites is a key factor in helping the schools keep track of all students, ensuring that they are well cared for and arrive home safely. Patience, sensible decision making, clear communication and road safety around both schools is also most important. Please remember to keep the Bus Stops clear at all times.
