Medical Alert

We have received information from our local Doctors this week regarding an increase in Influenza A (2 strains NIN1, H3N2).  This presents with sudden unwellness, fever, clear runny nose, aches, scratchy throat, nausea (abdo upset) and cough.  Even some who have been vaccinated are presenting at Doctors so please don't assume immunity if you are vaccinated.  People affected with these symptoms should remain at home.  The infectious period starts 1 day before illness and lasts 5-7 days, although in children, this can last longer.
