Our Japanese students were helping the pre-school children celebrate Obon.
Obon is a Japanese buddhist festival where the dead are honoured and remembered. Sometimes at the end of Obon, you will see small candles in paper boats floating down streams and rivers to help light the spirits journey to the other side.
Ayaka, Hirotaka, Yuka and Ui helped the children with origami and enjoyed their hour talking.
