PTA News

As the school year comes to an end, the GHS PTA want to say goodbye to a number of our members who are moving on either as their last child leaves school or as they begin the next part of their education. The PTA must thank Sherri Blair and Mary Mulligan for being the cornerstones of the PTA for many many years. Both members have held various positions on the committee and their knowledge and dedication to our school will be sorely missed. The countless hours both have given freely to the benefit of all students of our school must be congratulated. You're going to be missed but we wish you all the best in whatever comes your way.

Sharon McLeay has been a helpful and dedicated member for many years.  She has been a great help on the registration table at the Rogaine and has helped with our catering days. A huge thanks from the PTA Sharon.

A special thanks to Troy Titheridge who came to the committee 2 years ago when he was the student representative with the Board of Trustees of GHS. Troy is always professional and knowledgeable and we will miss his thoughts and his graphics expertise which has help design our Rogaine certificates and our PTA banner. All the best Troy at Canterbury next year.

Karli Adams-Stachurski has been one of our student representatives this year and has been a great help giving the PTA a student perspective and your added help with the Rogaine. We wish you all the best for the future.

The GHS PTA has been fortunate to have these people on our committee for so many years. We are continuing to plan and sort out the details for the GRAM (Geraldine Rogaine Autumn Muster) which is being held Sunday 2nd April 2017. Information will be on our Facebook page and more in newsletters next year.

Keep an eye out and consider joining us this year for all the fun, which is guaranteed. We hope junior students enjoy their last few weeks with the fun of activities in December and that NCEA students will see all their hard work pay off when results come in next January. We look forward to the Junior Prize Giving which will showcase the achievements of the junior school on Friday 9th December at 1.30pm, being seated at 1.15pm.
