I recently held my yearly Chalk Art competition - a very successful event with 81 students involved from Year 7 & 8. A mammoth number of students this year!!
The theme this year was Pacifica. We had a wide variety of artworks submitted which were then recreated with chalk and pastels, onto 1 metre squares down in the Year 7 & 8 play area. They were then judged by our secret Judges, and the following are the results.
1st - Nora Quigley and Eva Body
2nd - Katie Moginie and Christine Bendsen
3rd - Bella Keeley, Maia Mahuika and Emily Johnston
Most Colourful - Milly Arras, Abbie Collins and Leah Boase
Spot Prizes - Zara Coleman, Brianna Howell, Emma Wilson and Emily Osborne
1st - Geordie McCully and Jack Leov
2nd - Ben Bartlett, Justin Mangubat and Sam Morrison
3rd - Elizabeth Eason and Jessica Wells
Most Colourful - Ben Moffitt, Marcus Furrer and Alex Robertson
Most Cultural - Mikey King and Dillon Clifford-Bates
Most Artistic - Nikita Richards, Alex Overton and Georgia Dennison
Spot Prizes - Libby Patrick, Rhiannon Savage, Emily Lake, Emma Rowley and Mackenzie Robertson
The stunning artworks are still decorating that school area (although maybe Thursday's rain has seen to that), so pop in and have a look. Awesome work by our students.
