There has been an abundance of activities happening at the school already this term. Lots of different experiences for all. Swimming sports this week and Athletics next week.
We are looking forward to seeing our Year 7 & 8 parents on Thursday 2nd March at 3.15pm for the meet the teacher afternoon, a great chance to see around the classrooms and meet other parents.
We have our next PTA meeting on Tuesday 28th February in R9, Mrs Sanders Homeroom (this is next to the library) at 7.30pm. We extend a warm welcome to new parents to the school to join us this night. It is a wonderful way to meet others and be a support to the school. Any questions please contact Andrea Hornsby [email protected] or ring 693 9319.
Last week we sent out an information flyer about our major fundraiser the GRAM (Geraldine Rogaine Autumn Muster) being held on Sunday 2nd April. We are starting to get entries and hope to have another successful event. We also sent out a donation form that we hope GHS families could support us with. There are a number of ways to help from a cash donation to help with catering and prizes (any amount is appreciated), donation of a slice/truffles etc, a donation of a spot prize and of course donation of your help on the day. Another way you can support is of course to go in the event, there is a course for everyone. From novice to the experienced competitor, everyone is catered for. Check out all the information on our website www.gram.org.nz and please share it with others that would be interested.
We appreciate all the support that you can give to help make this event a success.
