Didn't we do well!

The PIA classes received an awesome message from Young Farmers thanking them for their continued hard work:

"I would just like to take the time to thank you and your students for your amazing help with pack down after the Get Ahead Experience Day on Tuesday.

This is not the first time that you and your students have helped us out.

Geraldine’s help after last year’s Get Ahead Experience day and the FMG Young Farmer of the Year Grand Final in Timaru as well as the Aorangi Regional Final in Methven a few weeks ago was greatly appreciated and we are very grateful that you have already offered the help of your students at this year’s Grand Final. These are just the times that I am aware of and I am sure there have been other instances as well.

The students you bring along are always so polite and willing to help with anything and everything and expect nothing in return for doing so. The help from you and your students has saved us tremendous amounts of time and it is so refreshing to have such enthusiastic and helpful teenagers involved in NZ Young Farmers.

On behalf of NZ Young Farmers thank you for all your effort and support it is really appreciated."

Level 1 attended the Young Farmers Get Ahead Careers Day and have visited King's Deer farm at Crincklewood Fairlie. Wayne and Henry gave us a farm tour and the class were able to learn all about Deer and see them being break fed and in the yards. Looking ahead, planning is under way for the MacKenzie Show, we have another date with Austin's sheep and will be off to the fencing and stock judging competition this Sunday.

Level 2 have completed their latest round of days at AgriLearn and have completed the second practical chainsaw day and started their tractors.
