SCPSSA Cross Country

On Wednesday 14th June we had 15 Year 7 & 8 students compete in the SCPSSA Cross Country which was held at Waihi School. Charlotte Harding placed 2nd in the Year 7 Girls race and the Year 7 Girls team placed 3rd. The team members were Charlotte Harding, Rebekah Skinner and Pieta Houston.

We also had a number of students who have qualified to race for South Canterbury.  They are Charlotte Harding, Rebekah Skinner, Arabella Acland and Ben O'Kane.

Well done to all Students who competed.

Senior Quad

On Thursday 15th June we hosted the Senior Quad. Rugby has a new format this year with the teams playing 3 full games, 1 game a week and as they haven't played all teams we unfortunately couldn’t include them in the points.

Our Rugby team played Darfield and lost.

Our Football team won 2 games vs Darfield and Ellesmere but lost to Mt Hutt.

Our Netball Team won 2 games vs Darfield and Mt Hutt but lost to Ellesmere.

Overall we were 1= with Darfield with 12 Points, Ellesmere were 3rd with 7 Points and Mt Hutt were 4th with 4 points.

Sandalwood Trophy

On Sunday 18th June Madi Scott competed in the Sandalwood Trophy held at the Orari Race Course. Madi joined a team with 3 girls from McKenzie College. The girls placed 3rd overall as a team.

Madi came 1st overall individually for Dressage and Showjumping combined 70cm and 4th for Individual Showjumping 80cm.

Well done Madi.

NZSSAA Cross Country

We had 3 runners attend the National Cross Country in Christchurch. Kahn Ashton was our best finishing 18th and only 30 seconds behind the winner in the Year 9 Grade. Fraser Hunter also ran in the Year 9 Grade.

In the team events for South Canterbury, Kahn was in the Junior team which finished 9th and Stephen Harding was in the Senior team which finished 13th.
