Swimming

Nic Houston attended the National New Zealand Secondary School Swimming Championships last term. The meet took place in September at Hamilton Waterworld 50m pool. Nic was one of 580 swimmers who qualified and competed across three days of intense competition. He achieved his goal of swimming personal best times. It is thought that Nic is the 3rd swimmer in the history of Geraldine High School to have competed at this level.  Well done Nic.

Triathlon Club

Mr Wilcox (Homeroom Teacher) and Kate Brown (Year 13 student) have started a triathlon club which runs on Thursday's after school. They have 16 members of all ages. They swim at school first, bike and then run. The students are really enjoying being able to train for Triathlon's but it is also a great thing to do for fitness for other sports. If you would be keen on joining or would like more info, please see Mr Wilcox at school or email [email protected]
