In what has become an annual event, the students at Geraldine High School again reached out to over 250 of the senior members of our community. This year students raised money through a mufti day, lunchtime events and a ‘Guess the Number of Easter Eggs’ competition. Each basket included a jar of Barkers jam and the resthomes each received a hamper of Barkers products. This was made possible due to a generous donation from Barkers.
The construction and delivery of the Easter Baskets was lead by Lydia Wilson and Marcus Furrer. A number of students used their lunchtimes and any other spare moment to ensure this event was a success.
Special mention must go to Mrs Roberts for organising the distribution and Mrs Morrison, Mrs Hawkins and Mrs Hornsby for their support. A morning tea of chocolate cake with a filling of Barkers' jam and a generous sprinkle of Easter Eggs was enjoyed by those who participated. This was a great way to go into the extended Easter break.
