Thank you to everyone who has sent in a submission regarding the proposed Geraldine High School Enrolment Zone.
If you are affected, concerned or want to voice an opinion, please write a submission and we will forward it on to the Ministry of Education.
If you need assistance writing a submission, Geraldine Councillor Kerry Stevens has put together a guide (please see attached). We have also created a basic template for submissions. If you would like to use this template, please contact the School Office for a copy. Please note that submissions close Friday 26th April.
We have received numerous submissions concerning siblings and the effect of the proposed zone on families with existing students with out of zone addresses.
The Board of Trustees would like to reassure all families that all students currently attending Geraldine High School have a secure place until the end of their schooling.
We are working with the Ministry of Education to establish a fair process to allow our out of zone families to enrol siblings in a manner that ensures the school effectively meets its obligations to its students and community.
We ask that you bear with us while we complete this process.
