We had two girls teams enter the Aoraki Volleyball Tournament on Thursday 23rd March. Our Senior A team had a tough pool but played some great matches. Our Junior A Team got 3rd in their grade with some very close matches to decide the top 3. Well done to both teams.
3 on 3 Basketball
We had 3 boys teams enter in the Aoraki 3 on 3 tournament held in Timaru on Monday 27th March. The best of the teams were Drew Chisnall, Jackson Foster, Kenneth Ramos and Michael Patmore coming 5th in the A grade. They had some very close matches with the top 4 teams. Well done to all the boys who competed.
Our Senior A Girls went to the SISS Satellite Tournament held in Christchurch from Tuesday 28th - Thursday 30th March. They started off a little nervous but came right in the second game. Our pool was again a very tough and close pool with all teams beating each other. The girls did very well winning 2 out of 5 games and finished 9th. Well done girls.
On Friday 31st March we took in 15 Year 7 & 8 students to compete in the SCPSSA Swimming championships held in Timaru. We had a great day swimming and the swimmers should all be proud of themselves.
We got 18 places at this event.
We have 3 student competing in Dunedin for the SISS Athletics championships - Stephen Harding, Alex Hayes and Olivia Paton. Stephen Harding placed 3rd in the Senior Boys 3000m and Alex Hayes placed 8th with a PB of 1m 58 in the Under 14 High Jump.
Well done to all athletes for doing yourself and the school proud.
12 Hr MTB Race
On Saturday 1st April we had 3 Boys , Sam Guerin, Cameron Prattley and Connor Leov compete in a 12 year MTB Race in Naseby. The boys had a great race and came 3rd. Roughly 230km ridden and lots of chocolate bars eaten! Well done boys on this great achievement.
