Our students have been working really hard this year and we have been involved in a number of exhibtion opportunies that showcase their art work.

For Artarama, only a very small selection of work can be presented from each school so we can’t put everyone’s in even though it is all so amazing.

Special congratulations to Jazmin Duncan, Painting, Emma Rowley - Painting and Oliver McKeown - Painting who won awards and prizes in their categories. This exhibition is open to all South Canterbury schools so this is a great achievement.

Students also included in the exhibtion are:

Ethan Hornsby, Grace Lange, Callum Patrick, Mikaela Crisp, Taylor Gallagher and Emma Rowley. It runs until the end of the month at Aigantighe Art Gallery, Wai-iti Rd, Timaru.

In Term 2 our Level 2 Art class were invited to take part in the Plunket Art Show also at the Aigantighe Art Gallery, Timaru. They worked together on 3 paintings and received a Merit Award for their efforts. One piece was sold at auction on the night raising money for Plunket. Special mention to Aria Cressey who led the team and made sure we met the deadline.

Mrs Robert’s has welcomed our student’s work into the Library space and had Year 9 & Year 10 course work displayed in Term 2. Look out for new work arriving soon.
