7Sa and 7Df South Canterbury Museum Visit

By Mackenzie Waldron, 7Sa | Posted: Thursday June 20, 2019

On Tuesday the 11th of June, 7Sa and 7Df went to the Timaru Museum as well as the Timaru Library to learn more about disasters. We learnt many new things about local disasters including The Big Snow, Floods, High Winds and Fires. The trip was very helpful for this term's topic.

At the Library we got to make emergency shelters from cardboard as well as go down below ground level to look at old newspapers, which included photos and stories from the 1986 Big Snow. After leaving the Library, we all enjoyed the stop at MacDonalds.
