Top Tips for Wellbeing
As part of our Ka Awa Whiria Kahui Ako (The Braided Rivers Community of Learning), students from Geraldine Primary, Woodbury, Winchester Rural and Carew Peel Forest School's joined 8 of our students to focus on ideas around the wellbeing of youth within Geraldine and surrounding districts. GHS students - Sian Boase, Quinn Claridge, William Wilson, Hazel Voigt, Charlie Reeves, Michael Vaivai, Alana Berry and Ella Hole – teamed up with Primary School students and produced a short video clip on ‘The Top Tips of Wellbeing’. This has been shown in our schools and now available for the community to view on the following link:
Our Kahui Ako has been developing our focus on student wellbeing, developing transitioning between schools and Year groups for our students, and exploring how Oral Language will assist with student confidence to develop achievement in literacy, numeracy and NCEA.
These three focus areas continue next year as we work alongside the Early Childhood centres and Primary Schools in our district.
