On Thursday 21st November four girls attended the Aoraki Tennis Champs in Timaru. It was a beautiful day with some great Tennis played by all. Well done to Brianna Howell and Amelia McKeown who won their pool and Molly Kate Morrison and Kristin Schoneveld who placed 2nd in their pool.

Well done to all our Volleyball teams competing in the Friday night competition in Timaru. Some great matches are being had and fantastic improvements are being made. Enjoy your break over the summer and look forward to getting back into it in Term 1.

On Thursday 28th November we took some of our junior school to compete in the annual Junior Quad Tournament against Ellesemere, Darfield and Mt Hutt Colleges. All students participated extremely well in their sports and a lot of fun was had.

  • Ultimate Frisbee - 2nd
  • Volleyball - 3rd

GHS ended up 2nd= overall.

Junior Quad

The Triathlon club attended their first event in Pegasus on Sunday 24th November. This was a great first event with some great results. Well done to Oscar Ball, Jayden Walker, Nicole Schoneveld, Amelia McKeown, Chloe Warner, Molly Kate Morrison and Billy Wheeler on your efforts and congratulations to Robert Furrer (2nd), Marcus Furrer (3rd) and Krisitin Schoneveld (3rd) on your placings. 

Sports News

On Tuesday 3rd December, we attended the South Canterbury Primary Schools Athletics in Timaru. Well done to Ella Waldron, Maelle Rossignol, Zai Biggs, Michael Vaivai, Ella Thorpe and Amelia de Bonth who represented Geraldine High School extremely well. 

Congratulations to Ella Waldron who placed 1st in Long Jump, 3rd 100m and 2nd 200m, Michael Vaivai who placed 1st in Discus and Shot Put and Maelle Rossignol who placed 2nd in Shot Put.
