On the 20 - 22nd November the Year 8’s went on camp to Blue Skies in Kaiapoi, to celebrate the end of their primary schooling. The venue had excellent facilities and the students got the opportunity to try several activities over the course of the three days.
There was a varied range of activities that were planned. Some of the activities that they had scheduled were Abseiling, Rock Climbing, Bubble Soccer, Orienteering, Frisbee golf, Initiative activities and more. They even got the chance to go for a swim in the onsite pool.
The students made the most of an opportunity for a Talent Show with many different acts that showcased never seen before talent. Including comedy, dancing, singing, some interesting skits and lets not forget a special performance from Ms Cramond, Miss Ross, Mr Clare and Mr Goodin on the guitar.
We were lucky enough to have some awesome parent helpers, one of whom brought her mobile coffee van (highly recommend!) which made the camp even more successful. A big thank you to Nikki Trounson, David Croft, Tash Rankin, Sarah Wilson, Cathy Orange, Madeline Williams, Kelly Bartlett, Marcelle de Bonth, Jonathan Hubert and Corrie Adams for making this trip possible. We also appreciate the Teacher Aide assistance of Stacey Muru, Joe Roberts and Lynore Bradshaw.
