Administration - Fixed Term - Maternity Cover

30 - 35 hours per week (Term time only) starting date flexible and ending Friday 30 June (end of term 2).

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our administration team. This role has the opportunity to be involved in some or all of the following key areas depending on skill set and interest. 

Key areas:

  • International student programme coordination
  • Marketing and communications
  • Reception cover as needed

We're after someone who:

  • Has previous experience with social media within a corporate environment
  • Sound administrative experience (Google suite)
  • Excellent written language skills
  • Some basic design skills
  • Works well in a team
  • Is eager to learn and correctly pronounce reo Māori names and terms
  • Stays cool under pressure
  • Can multi-task
  • Adapts to a rapidly changing environment

Social media marketing knowledge and attention to detail are essential for this role. Experience using Kamar would be beneficial although training can be provided. It is imperative for everyone working within our admin team to be approachable and collaborative. This role will require you to foster relationships with all staff in the capacity of go-to for the key areas in your portfolio. We are an ideas-driven team always looking to improve so your input will be important. 

Reporting to the Business Manager this role will have regular contact with all of the senior leadership team.

Start time for the position is negotiable. 

Hours of work will be negotiated between 8am and 4.30pm. Whilst this role is fixed term, it has the opportunity to progress into a permanent role in 2023.

Social Worker/Family Support Worker

The Geraldine High School Social Worker/ Family Support Worker is an integral role within our school. Based in our newly renovated Hauora Hub and working closely with our Student Counsellor and wider wellbeing team this role supports our students and their whanau.  

Ideally you will:

  • Be keen to work 20 - 25 hours per week 

  • Be caring and passionate

  • Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a wellbeing team

  • Have experience working with children and families 

  • Hold a relevant social work qualification (preferred but not necessary dependent on experience)
