In this Year 9 course, Alt’ Art is a practical course where you will learn practical skills of Crafts as Art, as we focus on alternative ways of making and drawing. 

You will experiment with…

• Working with soft materials 

• Drawing with light and mixed media

• Sculpting

• developing and generating visual ideas

You must:

• be enthusiastic and keen to learn

• not worry when things go wrong

• always challenge yourself to improve

Those students who then progress to Year 10 Art will be the best equipped to achieve well in Level 1 NCEA.
