Year 7 & 8

Year 8 have been working on how shadows form in some detail.  To demonstrate that light travels in straight lines and is absorbed by different materials, they presented a puppet show. The story also had to include an aspect of light, such as the sunlight reflecting off the water, or the microwave giving out microwaves, which are a type of light. The students really enjoyed the task. 

Year 7 Maths Competition: A team of four students worked well to answer 20 questions against others in South Canterbury. Geraldine came in a respectable fourth. Well done team!
