Wearable Arts 2023

On the 14th and 15th of June 2023, Geraldine High School held their biennial wearable arts event.

This event showcased some amazing talent from the students with a range of creativity exhibited in four different categories of Recycling, Futuristic, Wide Wide World and Excessive Accessories. This year's overall theme was Country with the hall being decked up in a sort of Western Country design.

This year was also the first year that we decided to hold the Wearable Arts event over two nights and the first year holding a house competition with the houses entering a Wearable Art design that represents their house in their colour.

On the first night, spot prizes were awarded. On the second night, the final results were awarded with first place awards in Excessive Accessories and Futuristic, first, second and third placings for both Recycled categories and Wide Wide World category, and first, second and third placing for the overall best designs of every contestant. The house competition was judged as a separate entity from the rest of the categories with a prize awarded for first and second places.
