Year 8 Camp

Year 8 Camp

We started with a stop at the Antarctic Centre where we had a ride on the Hagglund, met the Huskies and the Penguins, experienced a 4D movie and had a good look around the Centre.

We then headed off to camp at Kaiapoi. After a quick unpack, we headed off on our rotations of either Adrenaline Forest, Archery, Rock Climbing, Slippy Slide, Initiative Activities or the Town Walk.

The next day we all had a chance to do the rotations of the actvities that we hadn’t done the day before. It was a wonderful day and was finished off with a small Talent Quest which was won by Isaac Phimister on the bagpipes.

We packed up early the next day and as it was inclement weather, we had to change our plans of an outside pool and headed to MegaAir instead. This was very much a hit and we all had a great time. Last stop of the camp was Wigram, where we got a tour and got a chance to have a good look around.

We arrived back very tired but happy after an awesome camp.

A very special thanks to our wonderful parents - Mr Reardon, Mrs Cunningham, Mrs Phimister, Mr Campbell, Mrs Mockford, Mrs Rae, Mrs Worner, Mrs Courage, Mrs Wallace, Mrs Bachelor and Mr Adams.
