Hockey
Hockey is a rapidly growing sport in Geraldine with our students competing, coaching and officiating in both the South Canterbury competition and the Geraldine Local League. We have opportunities for all Year levels with teams playing in local and South Canterbury competitions along with tournament play.
What we have available:
- South Canterbury League (Year 7-13)
- Geraldine Local League (Year 7/8)
- CAIMS Tournament (Year 7/8)
- Winter Tournament Week

Geraldine Community Opportunities:
Hockey in Geraldine is run by the Geraldine Combined Hockey club. GHS students represent this club in the Year 7/8, Youth and Senior grades and a number also represent South Canterbury in their age group categories. Our students also have opportunities to coach and officiate young hockey players in the Geraldine Funsticks and Geraldine local hockey league and there is a strong youth representation in the Geraldine Fast Five Summer competition.
