Athletics 2025
Athletics 2025
Both Geraldine High School Athletics days started out overcast but the sun peeked its way through and by the afternoon it was stinking hot.
School spirit was high and there were some great efforts put in throughout the two days. No one was holding back, going all out representing their house. Well done to Daniel Baird for being one of the few people who ran in the 3000 meter race with a spectacular finish!
I would also like to acknowledge the record-breaker of the day. Previous student Graham Warrburton managed to hold onto the U19 Boys 200m record since 1975! Congratulations to Ethan Hole for breaking this 50 year old record with a new time of 22.9s, beating the previous record by half a second.
It was great to see former Geraldine High School student Kieran Fowler attend the event. He currently holds 12 school athletic records including the discus. Some of our students were lucky enough to see him throw his record yet again.
Congratulations to Cox house for taking out the jumbo house relay and winning the Athletics day overall. We also had a hilarious Student vs Teacher relay with students coming out on top.
