Staff Absence
Consistency in learning programmes is a key component of academic success for students. Unfortunately due to illness, injury, and other circumstances this has been disrupted for a number of our students this term.
We apologise for the disruption to learning for a number of our students across the school and want to assure you that we are doing our best to ensure that we have the best teachers in front of your students in these times.
We are very lucky to have a good pool of relief teachers, with knowledge and experience across the curriculum, as well as other staff with full teaching loads filling the void when required. A number of schools across New Zealand have had to roster home certain year levels to manage the staff absences through winter flu and rising covid cases.
I appreciate that this can be frustrating for our students and whanau and want to assure you we are doing everything we can to keep the school fully open during this difficult time as well as providing the extracurricular activities that add so much value to the learning at school.
