Year 10 Future Focus Day

Eager to leave, students waited by the stone gate in the hour before school to board the bus on their big adventure. The students got to spend the day at Lincoln University, exploring the grounds of the mini-town setup, complete with a full gym, dining rooms, and library.

After an early lunch break playing some of the games available in the cafe space, the group split into four mini university lectures, ranging from sports exercise on the bikes, to seeing the different flammability of our native and introduced plants.  It was a great day introducing our students to tertiary education options, with lots of laughing and fun.

Thank you to Matua Otis, Mr Austin, Ms Autridge and Whaea Rhiannon for their efforts in ensuring everything ran smoothly.
