Course Outline
Commerce is all about resources and how they are used in society to satisfy its needs and wants. At Level 1, students will study the basics of accounting, business, and economics to understand the decision-making process in the world of economics and in your own whānau and households. Students will learn to make informed choices utilising calculations, modelling and strategies.

LEVEL TWO
Code: L2BUS
Level 2 Business Course follows the Young Enterprise Scheme (YES), which has a great legacy in NZ, teaching entrepreneurship, leadership and community engagement. Students will learn market research, business planning and brand building with a focus on understanding how to launch a venture and collaboration with community networks, either in terms of improving or developing a product or service ideas.
The course has four YES Challenges. Teams with the highest scores in each region will be invited to the Regional Finals, and the regional champions will then compete in the National Finals.

LEVEL THREE

Course Outline
Level 3 Business Course, within the YES scheme, will teach students advanced business strategies, including marketing, customer service, networking and collaboration and financial forecasting. Students will learn to refine their entrepreneurial skills and innovative ideas to prepare them to develop and launch their products or services leading to regional (national) competition. Students will also gain confidence to pursue higher-level business studies.
