Food Tech Visit To Ara

On Wednesday 7th August L2 FOT classes headed to Ara for the day. 

There were two group activities for each session. The baking group were tasked with making choux pastry (no easy feat) for chocolate eclairs and churros.

The barista group made a series of hot chocolate drinks, followed by mocktails. The groups swapped over in the afternoon.  

During the lunch break, the students were treated to a free graze table with a DJ in the student cafe. They could play foosball and table tennis too.  

There were many happy, but very tired faces at the end of the day. Of course the students were all amazing - they were polite and respectful, participated in everything, stayed engaged throughout (despite clear fatigue)! So, a huge success all round.
