Te Whare Ako Camp 2024
The students in Te Whare Ako had a wonderful time at camp. The excitement of being able to spend the night at school proved to be a massive success. The students were excited to see the school after everyone had left which left feelings of wonderment and curiosity.
The trip up to Christchurch saw the students learning and experiencing great learning from the Wigram Air Force museum followed by some great competition during ten-pin bowling. The next day pushed the students to their limits as the hike to Sharplin Falls proved trickier than intended as Mother Nature threw her hat into the ring. Two bouts of hail came storming through, but the students powered through like troopers. The making of pizzas that evening was a great way for students to satiate any hunger pains.
Lastly, a big thanks to all the baking provided by our parents/caregivers as it really helps our students get through the rumbly tumblies. Looking forward to the next camp!
