NCEA Literacy And Numeracy Co-requisite Results
NCEA Literacy And Numeracy Co-requisite Results
If your child recently sat the literacy and numeracy co-requisites, then the results are now available from NZQA. Congratulations to those students who have achieved one or more of these standards. Well done.
The school did very well compared with national results and, in part, this is to do with how seriously our students took it. We are also benefiting from being a trial school for two years prior to its compulsory introduction this year.
GHS Results: Reading 76%, Writing 79%, Numeracy 63%
National Results: Reading 56%, Writing 52.5%, Numeracy 40%
If your child has missed out on one or more of the co-requisites, tell them the school will have a plan in place next year to help them navigate the test again. There will be a number of tutorials available. Everyone who did not achieve one (or more) of the Literacy or Numeracy assessments is able to download a personalised feedback report, showing where they did well and where they might want to focus ahead of attempting the assessment again.
Next year, students will be able to achieve their literacy and numeracy by:
Sitting the test again
achieving the required number of credits from an approved list of literacy and numeracy-rich standards.
