DREAM

Geraldine High School drama students went to the Aidan Theatre to watch an amazing display of William Shakespeare's play, A Mid-summer Night’s Dream. And what a fantastic show!
It was full of amazing stage settings. Much like traditional Shakespeare plays, it was set outside with an amazing waning crescent as a backdrop to look upon and lighting to make it feel like a sunset in the sky, the setting of the play was very minimalistic but super efficient, it fit the Elizabethan theatre form in which all of Shakespeare's plays were set.

We would also like to appreciate the live band that performed the background music for the play, they played such an important role in the play and we applaud them for the time spent learning the music. This also goes for all the brilliant actors who performed in the play! It is nice to see that acting around the local district is still alive and well. They all brought their sense of acting and comedy to the show and Geraldine High School’s drama department thoroughly enjoyed watching this shine through.

So to all the people involved, from prop making to actors and set designing and everyone backstage especially the Director, Ms Kimble Henderson who will be directing our very own school rendition of Grease we are all in awe of their performance and execution of one of the most timeless plays of all time.

Everyone played a part and we’re all thankful for the wonderful show they displayed!
