PIA Update
Dan Douglas, our fencing guru, has completed 2 days of tuition with level 1 who are now flat-out practising in between designing their modules for the Future Farmers Primary Schools competitions at the Temuka Geraldine A&P Show.
Level 2 have completed 2 days of Chainsaw training and have started their tractors course with Agrilearn. Ex-PIA student Shiloh Mould and Ravensdown rep ran a soil testing session for us which was also a great introduction for the L3 students for their Feeding and Pastures units.
2025 has been declared the Year of the Fencer, with PIA instigating secondary school events at various shows and field days nationally. We are also currently writing material for the national body Muka Tangata and continue to mentor schools.
Students are currently being decked out in gear courtesy of main sponsors Stoney Creek and branded by High Street.
As always PIA is super grateful for all our sponsors whose contributions enable our many successes.
