Welcome back to Te Whare Ako for Term Two/Rua
Kia ora koutou,
We have moved along diligently in TWA. Already midway through the term and student learning and achieving is on full display. The students are continuing to gain valuable experience through the Young Enterprise Scheme where they are getting their hands on setting up a business and every step that is involved. The students are also gearing up for another round of verification through the SPEC qualifications. The module books that each student is working on continue to challenge them on an organisational basis, but give them the learning that they're most interested in.
The students of TWA have also been busy in other activities outside the classroom. They recently took part in the school cross country day and every single student in TWA did themselves and their houses proud. The next event up for the students will be the Special Olympic Soccer tournament in Timaru. There will be four other schools competing in a day that promotes amazing friendships, sportsmanship, and excitement.
As the term carries on, please look to Seesaw with daily updates of what students in TWA are getting up to as well as finding out about upcoming events. Finally, we want to ensure that students are staying healthy as the winter season looms around the corner. Please remind them to wash their hands or use hand sanitiser to help combat against all the viral bugs floating around.
Ngā mihi,
Mr. Ducher
Ngā mihi,
