Careers Update

Careers Update

Year's 11 - 13 have had Pathway Planning sessions and the next step is the start of Career related tutorials.  The first being, 'How to construct a CV' on  Tuesday 11th March, lunchtime, W4.

It's great to see students utilising careers resources by booking a time to meet with the Careers Advisor: p.munro@geraldinehs.school.nz

Learner's Licence: A huge barrier to employment is not having a driver's licence. Students are encouraged to sign up for lunchtime tutorials to support them to gain their Learner's Licence. The first is Tuesday 18th March, lunchtime in W4.

GHS Career Wise - Check out the latest career information, specifically Gap year organisations: Camp America, World Vision volunteering and Projects Abroad Australia & NZ

Gateway:

Safety n Action ran a Health and Safety course on 5 March. Students learnt about the 2015 Health and Safety Act and how it applies to them in the workplace.
