Burnham Blue Light Life Skills Camp

Aiden H., a 15-year-old from Geraldine High School, has been honoured with the Overall Excellence Award at the Burnham Blue Light Life Skills Camp, held from July 22-26, 2024.

Reflecting on his experience, Aiden shared, "I gained so much confidence, pride, and self-worth. I also made a lot of good friends." The initial challenge was adapting to the camp's routine, but Aiden quickly got the hang of it by listening to instructions and staying focused.

Winning the award was a moment of pride for Aiden. "I was so shocked, and it took a bit to sink in, but then I was proud of myself. All the hard work I had put in was recognised and it paid off," he said.

Aiden encourages other young people to participate in the camp. "I would tell people to definitely give it a go. It’s worth stepping outside your comfort zone. It’s a really good thing, and I would recommend it.
