PIA Feb. Wrap Up

PIA Feb. Wrap Up

Usually we say we are doing well if we survive to the end of Term 1 but at the rate we are going we will be happy with the end of next week!

Level 1 have completed the first training days for fencing and water supply and have started fencing up a storm here at school.

Level 2 have completed chainsaw theory and start their practical days this week. They survived a day of Workplace First aid training and the keen fencers popped down to Waimumu for the field days last week. See our blog in this newsletter addition. It's all true!

Level 3 have started their pasture walks and all levels competed in the Junior Young Farmer over the weekend. GHS had 16 teams entered with Ella Hole & Shelby Hensen coming second overall and scoring Team leader (Mrs FS) a trip with them to Hamilton in July.

In the official 15 days of school so far we have managed to consume 22 dozen Fonterra milk, 18 batches of fudge, 4 km fencing wire, 2300 km, 10 class trips, met some v posh people and generally covered ourselves in glory!

Not too shabby!
