Hauora Hub

Kia ora! Term 4 is upon us and with it brings some changes in the Geraldine High School Hauora Hub. It is with great sadness that we farewell Aileen Watson, our school counsellor and a teacher here at GHS. She has been an amazing support to our students and school community in her time here and we wish her well in the future. Carly Halkett will join us for one day a week as counsellor for the remainder of 2023. If you wish to see either Carly (Counsellor) or Scotty Nelson (Youth and Whanau Support Worker) please get in touch with Scotty and he will put you in touch with the appropriate person.

Kia ora, my name is Carly Halkett and I am looking forward to being a more familiar face throughout this up and coming term. I have had the pleasure of connecting with Geraldine High students and staff over the years in different wellbeing and therapeutic roles and always feel so privileged getting to walk alongside young people during times of greater need, ensuring their voice is at the centre. I always strive to provide a safe space to connect and explore how things are going for you. A space to focus on enhancing your strengths and yourself in a validating and safe context. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you are needing some greater support. I look forward to the term ahead.
