2023 Arts committee

Kia Ora Whanau,

We are your Arts Leaders, Elle and Georgie, here to give you a little update as to what we have been up to so far this year!

During this term, we have been busy planning and discussing the upcoming and major events that we will be hosting like VIBES, Music Month and Wearable Arts. This would be impossible, however, without an awesome committee full of different people within the school. Our committee members this year are Sienna Baker (Year 13), Jody Quiambao (Year 11), Kylie Fraser (Year 10) and Archie Gollan (Year 8 ).

We are extremely excited about working alongside these amazing people to continue expanding and encouraging the arts within our school.

This term we have an upcoming event, the Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Festival which is being held right here at Geraldine High School! This event is on the 4th of April and is a great opportunity for our talented Drama students to show their appreciation for a truly inspirational artist.

This month, we also had the annual Chords and Keys event on the 31st of March which was our first musical event of this year!

We have so many exciting things planned and can’t wait to see all the support from you and the rest of the community! We encourage you to come along to as many events as you can to see all of the awesome artists our school has to offer!
