Primary Industry

So I am known to have fabulous ideas in the middle of the night and I tell you it has been all go this week. We have managed to score ourselves a fencing entry for the South Island Field days at Kirwee AND at Mystery Creek at the National field days. Proof that I can batt my eyelashes and smile nicely on the phone and it works!!

Aidan Christie & Quinn Foley-Smith will be pitting their skills against the country's top fencers and cadets. To gain a spot (1 of only 6 teams) is massive. So then we thought why just take 2 students when we can take 7 more friends. So it's an Adventure to Hamilton for Level 3 PIA.

The eyelashes are getting a serious workout as we set about calling in favours to beg and borrow all the posh gear needed to look the part on the National stage.

This has been kick started with Stockade who visited this week to service the staple guns they sponsored for us last year and have agreed to supply in Hamilton. Thank you.

All groups have completed their first course days at Agrilearn, Level 1 with fencing and water supply and Level 2 Chainsaws. We have already been out rouging and are loving making the most of our double period.

Ahead of us is a crazy fortnight with 10 events planned. The holidays feel like a distant memory!
